Sweet Potato Chili

Simple and so versatile. Our family is loving this new addition to our rotation!

Sauté 1 lb grass fed ground beef (omit if #vegetarian or #vegan) in avocado oil
Add 1 diced medium onion and let sweat
Add 5 cloves crushed garlic
Sprinkle in about 1/4-1/2 tsp ground turmeric for depth of flavor and many health benefits #antiinflammatory
Stir in 2 Tbsp tomato paste
Add two 16 oz jars or similar amount of canned diced tomato
Add a couple cups of your favorite cooked beans (omit if #paleo or #keto)
Add 5ish peeled and cubed organic sweet potatoes (omit for #keto?)
Add 1 cup of bone broth or any broth you have

Seasonings (I do not measure. These are estimates):
2 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 Tbsp Cumin
Sprinkle of Garlic Granules
Sprinkle of Onion Powder
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Paprika
Sprinkle of Mustard Powder
Sprinkle of Ground Coriander
1 tsp Coconut Sugar (can use honey, maple syrup, monk fruit, nothing…)
2 Bay Leaves
Salt & Pepper to taste

Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer. Simmer about an hour. Serve! Can be topped with avocado, sour cream, cheese, chives…👌🏼
