10 Ways to Support Detoxification

Here are 10 practical things we can do to help open up the body’s pathways for toxins to be excreted more efficiently. All 10 are low to no additional cost and will make a big impact in reducing overall toxic load.

🪣 The first step is slowing the flow of what is entering our bodies. Consider ingredients when choosing what will be on, in, and around your body. It all adds up.

💦 Sweat: Skin is the largest organ in the body and it’s a major way our body excretes toxins. Find a way to sweat daily or as often as possible to help your body eliminate waste. Exercise, sauna, and detox baths are all great ways to achieve this.

🦵🏼 Dry Brush: The lymphatic system is the body’s internal drainage system. It can become slowed or stagnant due to things like inflammation. Dry brushing has been reported to help get things moving more efficiently. Tap #alltdrybrush

🍓 Antioxidants: includes glutathione, flavonoids, vitamins E, C, and A, and more. Can help to eliminate free radicals and slow cell destruction. Some foods high in antioxidants are green teas like matcha, blueberries, artichoke, goji berries, cacao, broccoli, onions, turmeric, ginger, cilantro, cinnamon, and oregano.

🦠 Gut Health: the gut begins at our face and ends at … our end. The walls of the gut and all its components play a major role in balancing our body and keeping us healthy. A leaky and inflamed gut has a much tougher time eliminating toxins. Take care of your gut. Tap #alltmicrobiome

😴 Sleep: Our bodies do much of the repair work during rest. Adequate and quality sleep will help support your body to restore, reenergize, and eliminate toxins.

🛁 Detox Bath: Soaking in a tub with some add-ins that can aid in toxin excretion is a fave and a way to also relax and sweat. Tap #alltdetoxbath

🚰 Drink Water: Cells need to be hydrated to function optimally. Water helps the body to transport waste out through mucus, defecation, urination, and sweat.

💩 Pee +Poop regularly: see above. This is a major way our bodies eliminate waste.

🚶🏽‍♀️ Movement: Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system has no pump. Moving your body helps keep fluids circulating and aids in elimination of waste and toxins.
