Detox Bath

Our bodies are designed to detox regularly. We come into contact with toxic offenders every day. Even when we live a life being intentional about reducing toxic exposures. Through air, skin contact, ingestion, injection, and proximities exposure, our bodies can take on a toxic burden that can lead to a host of issues ranging from skin irritation to chronic disease and anything in between. While we look for ways to reduce our toxin exposure, we can take steps to help our bodies remove and eliminate what the body sees as offenders. One way is a detox bath.

🛁 Epsom Salts: Magnesium Sulfate. A potent mineral compound. Creates a type of reverse osmosis effect in the water that helps pull toxins from the body. Can also help draw out infection. Add 2 cups to a full bath for an adult. 1 cup for a smaller bath for kids.

🛁 Calcium Bentonite Clay: Volcanic Ash. Functions like a magnet. Bonds to metals to help draw heavy metals out of the body. Metals including mercury, cadmium, lead, and aluminum that can enter through a myriad of pathways. Avoid contact with metal when adding to your bath. 1/4-1/2 cup in a full bath. 1/8-1/4 cup for a kids bath.

🛁 Apple Cider Vinegar: Vinegar of fermented apple juice. Another substance that helps draw toxins out through the skin. It also helps balance skin PH. Anti-inflammatory. Can soothe many skin ailments including sunburn, eczema, dry skin, yeast, bug bites, and more. Can even help with joint pain. Add 1 cup or so to an adult bath. 1/2 cup to a kid bath.

A long soak is useful to allow time for the toxins to be pulled out. 40 minutes or more is ideal. Rinse after with cool water. Make sure to drink plenty of water afterword. Do this a couple times a week or more.

***Bonus: Dry brush before your detox bath for even greater results.
