Easter Sweets, Treats, & Reads

I’ve gotten lots of messages asking for Easter basket ideas. I wish i could have got this together for you sooner and having more ideas in it. I’m showing some things we’ve given our kids, are giving our kids this year, and a few little ideas for our kids as they get a little older. Brands will be tagged in the post when possible. I’ll try and link up as much as I can in stories ASAP.

Easter is my personal favorite holiday of all. We focus on the why of Easter more than anything. We spend lots of time talking about why we celebrate in the days and weeks leading up to Sunday. We like to celebrate the day of with togetherness and some special treats and surprises and yumminess too. We’re carrying on my husband’s family tradition of playing “Hot/Cold” to find your basket in the morning and my family’s tradition of fancy brunch.

We’ve been reading these books on repeat. We’re reading through the whole Narnia series for the third time. I’ve been longing for the day I could read them with my own kids and I’m beyond thrilled they love them as much as I do. I used to read them to my 4th graders at the end of the school day. The little board book is totally for preschoolers but I’ve read it to kids as old as 5th grade and feel like the little rhyme makes it so fun to hear and memorize. The Jesus Storybook Bible is one of my personal favorite books of all time 😂 I cry reading it to the kids often. Throughout each Bible story, the author points us to Jesus coming and it’s just beautiful.

I’m still waiting for a couple things I chose for our little one’s baskets this year so I’ve shown them in this post so you can have to me to grab them if needed too. I’ll show you everything in stories as soon as I’m able. Until then check my amazon faves link for “kids gifts” and my discounts highlight for some other items you see here. The sweets can be found at many grocery stores, at Target, on Amazon or Thrive Market too. Oh! Target has some CUTE wooden Easter gifts from @magnolia Hearth and Hand. 👌🏼
