Serotonin

Stress is high. Times are … ew. Your gut health is so critical always, and especially right now. Your gut being balanced, healthy, and strong is going to be a huge factor in your immune function as we are entering these colder months. Your gut is also vital in supporting your mood and mental health and even more so in this very stressful season.

Some recent studies even suggest 90-95% of your serotonin is produced and housed in your gut. Gut derived serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine; 5-HT) plays very important roles in bodily processes including immune cell function, inflammation, bone function, metabolic homeostasis, mood and mental health.
